New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday (March 23) busted three unlawful name centres and arrested 37 individuals for duping overseas nationals by pretending to offer companies for Apple and Amazon Tech Assist. 

As per a press release, the accused used to ship voice recordings to overseas nationals pretending to be US Drug Enforcement after which extort cash from them. 

Two out of the three name centres had been busted in Janakpuri whereas one was busted in Bindapur.

“On the idea of secret info, a raid was performed on the premises and it was discovered that completely different accused individuals had been operating unlawful name centres in Bindapur and Janakpuri. Two separate instances had been registered in opposition to the rip-off centres and a complete of 37 individuals, together with managers, supervisors and operators, had been arrested, out of which 9 had been working on the Bindapur centre and 28 on the Janakpuri centres,” the assertion stated.

A complete of 56 desktops and 41 telephones have been seized from the three places. 

The accused individuals, particularly the Janakpuri centres, had taken excessive precautions to keep away from getting caught. 

The rip-off was from a residential constructing and had state-of-the-art safety techniques and all accused got strict directions to not park their autos close by to keep away from being seen.
