Coimbatore: Forward of the Tamil Ndau meeting polls, the Election Fee of India (ECI) on Wednesday (March 24) ordered the switch of District Collector and police commissioner of Coimbatore.

ECI transferred DC Rajamani and of police Sumit Sharan to non-election posts.

Based on the press launch, the ECI has directed the state authorities to nominate IAS officer S Nagarajan as the brand new District Collector with speedy impact.

The Fee has ordered the appointment of S Davidson Devasirvatham because the Commissioner of Police.

The state is witnessing a high-pitch marketing campaign from the ruling AIADAMK-led alliance and the principal opposition led by DMK.
