Maharashtra promotes Class 9, Class 11 college students with out exams amid COVID-19 surge | India Information

Mumbai: Maharashtra authorities has determined that each one college students of sophistication 9 and sophistication 11 will likely be promoted with out exams. The choice has been taken by the the Division of Schooling within the wake of the rising variety of coronavirus circumstances within the state. 

For college kids of sophistication 10 and sophistication 12 the board exams will likely be held offline. The exam schedule will be decided soon.

As per an earlier order by the Maharashtra authorities on April 3, college students from class 1 to class 8 have been promoted with none examinations.

College Schooling Minister Varsha Gaikwad had made the announcment on Twitter. “In view of the continuing state of affairs resulting from COVID-19, all state board college students throughout Maharashtra state from Class 1st to Class eighth will likely be promoted to the following class with none examinations,” Gaikwad she had written.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra recorded as many as 55,469 coronavirus circumstances, taking the tally of infections within the state to 31,13,354, the dying toll elevated to 56,330 with 297 new fatalities.
