Gas stations to stay shut in Rajasthan on April 10, sellers strike towards VAT | India Information
Jaipur: Rajasthan petroleum sellers’ affiliation on Wednesday introduced to go on a day-long strike on Saturday to press for his or her demand of roll again in VAT on gas imposed by the state authorities.
Affiliation’s president Suneet Bagai stated there shall be no sale of diesel and petrol within the state on Saturday.
The state authorities elevated the value-added tax in the course of the corona pandemic and generated further income. The sale volume in the state has declined by 34 % due to the decrease gas costs in neighbouring states, he stated.
There are about 7,000 petrol pumps within the state which is able to stay closed on Saturday, he stated.
The affiliation has already submitted a memorandum of calls for and if there is no such thing as a constructive resolution by the federal government, we might go on indefinite strike from April 25, he stated.
